This was brief but really got to the meat of the subject. I loved the insights and take on this subject for creatives and by creatives. There was quite a bit of take away and points I would like to implement from daily routines, to communication and family and ways to focus. Truly Good Stuff. :)

Although hip to the necessity of setting a schedule and prioritizing important things to get done, I found this helpful to listen to, to hear strategies on how these guys(and gal) w kids work things out on a day to day, set expectations and manage the big picture. This is a video you can listen to without watching. Their written outline is in a download.

Very useful pro insights on being an artist in the the more broader context of life, that can spare us a lot of frustration and trouble. It is specially valuable because all the people here come from different backgrounds and family contexts. I'm sure it's a good place to start, whatever season you are right now.

I took this webinar as my first 'course', it seemed like a good place to start to help you think through how to balance life and working as a creative. Lots of key points were given from both female and male perspectives on everything from routines and scheduling, communicating with those in your relationship to setting boundaries and overcoming hurdles on staying focused.

This was my first course I chose to do when I just joined SVS. It is comforting to listen to like minded creatives discuss the challenges that come with our unique career structure (working from home, deadlines, time restrictions). I walk away from this having learned that I need to be better and 'powering down' Work Me and transition to Family Me daily so that I am not forced to be split focused and I can hopefully be better at both. And I am going to sit down and better plan out my priorities to help me find not only balance, but harmony as well. This was overall very helpful and like I said comforting to know I am not alone! Oh, and I am always stressed that I never have time to read great books people recommend but now I am aware of Audible so I will check that out too!!
